About 20 members of the Adekvad Brotherhood were recently detained at the US Embassy in Armenia, where they expressed their silent solidarity with the tacit behavior of international organizations with posters that read: “Keep silence,” “Thank you for not interfering in our internal affairs.” The Silence of the Lambs” etc.
The purpose of the members of the Brotherhood was to hand over a letter to the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Armenia Lynne M. To Tracy, who specifically states:
“On behalf of the “Adekvad” Brotherhood and our supporters, I would like to express our deep gratitude to you for not remaining involved in the internal political processes and political persecution in Armenia.
During the last two decades, when Armenia was not under the jurisdiction of your agency networks, you participated in almost all political processes in Armenia, constantly citing democracy, human rights, separation of power, other constitutional values, and today we are witnessing with great joy your long-awaited silence.
You were silent when we were illegally detained, when our family members were targeted and persecuted. You spoke only when the sexual minorities, sectarians, foreign agents were “concerned”, and even though we believe that soon very troubled times are about to start for the abovementioned parties, but again, we call on you to remain silent.
As a sign of support, we join this covenant of silence together with the embassy.”
